# About Areen

Areen Commerce is a service line of **Areen Technology**, a software company that
builds custom systems, productionalises open source, and ships products its clients
can deploy and extend.

## What this service does

We migrate online shops off hosted commerce platforms onto infrastructure the owner
controls, and then we keep them running. The commerce layer is deployed per shop,
the storefront is written in an ordinary framework, and the source is handed over.
There is no licence to revoke and no vendor you have to keep paying to keep the
lights on.

## Who it is for

Independent shop owners paying a platform fee plus a stack of app subscriptions, and
digital agencies carrying a book of client stores where those fees have become a real
line item. If the arithmetic does not favour moving, our own calculator says so and
we tell you to stay where you are.

## How we price it

A single shop is $500 a year with the build and migration free, for shops at or
under $50,000 a month. Agencies and larger shops are quoted per store, fixed in
writing before any work begins. Neither arrangement takes a share of revenue or a
per-transaction surcharge.

## How we work

Small, direct, and without a sales process. You talk to the people who build the
thing. Every engagement starts with an audit you get to read before committing, and
ends with documentation and a handover — including if you decide to take it in-house.
